Is hypnosis harmful?
No, there are no documented cases of anyone being harmed by undergoing hypnosis, or of anyone being left in a trance state. This is a myth.
How does it feel to be hypnotized?
Each individual will experience hypnosis differently. In general a person will experience mental and physical relaxation, perhaps sleepiness, or drowsiness, and the feeling of being in the moment before you fall asleep. It is usually a very pleasant experience.
What is self hypnosis?
All hypnosis is a form of self hypnosis. An individual can apply self hypnosis techniques on their own, or with a Hypnotherapist as their guide.
What is the subconscious mind?
The everyday waking state we are in is the conscious mind, this is the part mind that controls our actions and we are aware of. Conscious mind only makes up 15 to 20 percent of who we are. The subconscious mind is the part of mind that directs our conduct through habits and emotions that were programmed from environmental influences at an early age. Subconscious mind is 90 percent of the mind. Subconscious mind produces imagery that is made available to the conscious mind. When in hypnosis you re -program your subconscious mind with beneficial suggestions that will then be communicated to your everyday waking, or conscious mind.

Anyone who has the ability to concentrate, an open mind, and the belief and desire to achieve results.
Do people do things against their will, morals, or values, while hypnotized?
No, everything is a suggestion, you are in control. It is up to each individual to agree or disagree, accept, or not accept, suggestions that are given. Hypnosis works with the will to reinforce the achievement of goals. No one can be hypnotized against their will. You are always in control.
